La Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere

Ciao a tutti! 

It has always been a hidden dream of mine (un sogno nel cassetto) to write and publish a book in Italian. After two years of work I have finally realized that dream with an Italian version of my Santa Maria in Trastevere book.

This is not just a straight translation of the English book. I have added a considerable amount of new text and many more photographs and prints. Since the book has a slightly larger format, my editor, Gianfranco Mandas, and I, were able to increase the size of many of the photos, several of which are really spectacular and exclusive to this book.

I am very proud of this book and I recommend it to all of my friends who share my passion for the Italian language. The book was printed in Rome, but can be ordered in the United States in the same way as the English Santa Maria book and the Tiber Island book. Even though the Italian book is larger and includes more text and photos than the English version, the price remains the same.
